Who Are We?
Our head groomer and co-owner, Martin Ellis, is a graduate of the Academy of Animal Arts in Florida. Prior to opening the Red Hydrant Pet Spa and Boutique, he worked in a top salon in St. Petersburg as well as an AAHA accredited veterinarian grooming shop in Port Richey. He is a member and in good standing with the National Dog Groomer's Association of America since 2005. He has also studied anatomy, AKC Breed Standards, breeding and AKC Show Grooming with well-known breeders and AKC Best of Show judges. He also spends time coaching, developing and perfecting the skills of grooming students. Martin is also a volunteer at the Pasco Animal Shelter. Martin also believes in the importance of continuing education and frequently attends workshops and classes to ensure that he is maintaining Excellence is Grooming as well as providing updated and state of the art care for all of the spa clients.

Our buyer and co-owner, Roman Giamarese has shopped in markets all over the country in order to provide you with some of the finest and best unique values in pet care and accessories. Collectively Martin and Roman have over 33 years of combined retail experience. Both of them are committed to offering you and your pet exceptional customer service.

Although we love all pets, our four-legged children are two Flowered Chinese Shar-peis. They are 10 1/2 years old and sisters from the same litter…Sydney and Muriel. Feel free to stop in and say HELLO to them. They are often at the Spa having their nails done or in the Boutique test driving one of the beds and sampling treats.

Kelly Bruegger
Bathing Manager and Groom Assistant - Kelly joined the Red Hydrant with a huge and diverse background. She is also a breeder of Bull Terriers and has even had the honors of having one of her dogs compete at Westminster. She worked for five years prior to joining the Red Hydrant as Kennel Manager for a kennel that manages top ranked show dogs. She truly has an amazing love for animals. According to Kelly, “Every dog is a show dog and WINNER…it just depends on who the judge is!”

Sheryl Esdale
Sheryl Esdale works in the Boutique assisting with client check-ins, making and confirming appointments and verifying that all vaccinations are current on each of our customers. This lovely southern belle is from Alabama and lives here in Land O Lakes with Callie, her Maltese mix and her husband James.

Denice Ray
Groomer/Stylist - Her years of experience continue to add to the professionalism and experience the Red Hydrant offers its clients.

A Long Island, NY native, grew up on a Quarter Horse Farm. When she was old enough to help, her mother had her assisting the daily grooming and care for their AKC Championship Newfoundlands and German Shepherds. Denice, in love with the dog world, began raising and showing AKC Champion Rottweilers and most recently French Bulldogs.

Although she is a certified Veterinarian Technician, her real love and passion proved to be grooming and mentored within the show dog community to become an expert in multiple breeds such as Poodles, Havanese, Terriers and Bichons. She has adapted her skills for quality pet grooming at the professional level while working at both top groom shops as well as veterinarian clinics.

A member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America. The Red Hydrant Pet Spa and Boutique is the only area groom shop in which all members of the groom team are members of NDGAA.

Denice is also a member of The Greater Ocala Dog Club and The French Bulldog Club of America. She currently resides in Ocala with her husband, Tim.
